In this installment I want to discuss what you need to do if you are not seeing the weight (fat) loss results you had hoped for.

It’s not unusual for me to have this conversation with folks after they’ve been working out for a month or so.

Typically what happens is they start a new training program super motivated. But as time goes by that initial shiny new car smell goes away…and they realize well, this is going to take some work -- especially with the diet.

The good news is there really isn’t anything NEW to learn. You don’t need more information.

What you do need is to contemplate why it was important for you to lose weight in the first place.

In other words, you need to plug back into your motivations. There are very specific reasons you started this and it's really important you tap back into them.

Second, you’ll want to revisit the idea of building systems.

As you know, a good portion of my nutrition video is on the importance of systems. I just don’t think you can ever get to the place of being on auto pilot with this…which should be your goal…without thinking in terms of systems.

To get you started...or re-started...I want to give you just a few steps.

The first thing is to put some accountability systems in place.

Here are three things to begin now:

Weigh yourself every day and calculate your weekly average. This is easier if you have a Bluetooth scale that automatically uploads to a phone app.
Use your DQS app daily and calculate your weekly average. Yes, I think you need this accountability. When you’re calculating your weekly average for both your DQS and Weight, make sure you note them on your workout card. Just knowing you’ll be reporting your scores each week should help with accountability.
Pick a day of the week and take a weekly selfie. No, this isn’t for Instagram or Facebook. It’s just another visual marker; another means of tracking and holding yourself accountable that I think you’ll find to be pretty powerful.

So these three things: reporting your average weight and DQS score weekly, along with taking a weekly selfie is a great place to start to help you get on track.

I realize these are the fundamentals, but trust me, you will win with the fundamentals.

Beyond that, there is a lot of detail in the nutrition video and DQS video that you might have missed or forgotten. So by all means review, review, review.
